Do you love working with kids and have a passion for sports and movement? Join Zippy Squirrels, a dynamic and growing kids’ training club focused on building strong bodies, confident minds, and positive attitudes through fun, age-appropriate sports programs!

We’re looking for energetic, certified coaches to lead and inspire children ages 1.5 –12 through engaging, skill-based classes.

Qualifications

Passion for working with children is a MUST!
Previous experience coaching or working with kids in a sports, fitness, or recreational setting.
Athletic background, Soccer/Gymnastics background or experienced in leading group sports activities PREFERRED.
High energy, positive attitude, and a passion for helping kids grow.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with both kids and parents.
CPR certification, First Aid, safety related certifications. (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs and work in an active, physical environment.
Oral communication and written communication skill.

Preferred but Not Required:

Degree or certification in physical education, early childhood education, or related fields.

Coaching

Lead dynamic, engaging, and structured classes for kids aged 1-12, incorporating Zippy Squirrel’s training curriculum.
Foster a fun, inclusive, and positive environment where kids feel encouraged and challenged.
Adapt coaching techniques to different age groups and skill levels to ensure each child thrives.
Communicate and demonstrate clearly and concisely with children before, during and after class.
Must be able to coordinate with other coaches before, during and after the class.
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment. May require coaches to shift between multiple classes, lift and repeatedly move equipment’s up to 25 pounds in weight.

Leadership & Team Development

Be a role model by demonstrating enthusiasm, professionalism, and a passion for kids sports.
Assist in training and mentoring new coaches to maintain high-quality instruction across all programs.
Flexibility and adaptability. Open to feedback and embrace innovation and a fast-changing environment.

Operations & Customer Engagement

Ensure a clean, safe, and organized training environment.
Support center events such as birthday parties, camps, and community outreach programs.
Assist with sales, scheduling, and child’s progress report.

Planning & Organizing

Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
Develop realistic action plans and set achievable goals.
Use time efficiently and plan for additional resources when necessary.
Organize and schedule other team members to ensure smooth operations.
